I can’t see myself using a HomeView on my countertop (kitchen or otherwise). That’s OK; not every product is for me. I’m curious to read about how folks are using the HomeView as Apple seems to have intended.

I know there’s a bit of a price penalty, but I could see the HomeView being used better as the wall-mounted tablet to monitor the overall status of one’s home.

I asked both of my adult children and neither of them seemed interested in the HomeView or the HomePod mini 2. They barely seemed interested in the latest Apple TV (although I bought one). Neither seemed interested in the Duo. We can wait and see how the iPhone 18 looks, but ever since my daughter got a new battery put in her iPhone 14, she’s been pretty happy. She also likes her Amazon Echo thing on her kitchen counter to watch shows while she cooks or washes up the kitchen.
