Apple is pre-announcing price hikes? Woof.

I’m still not in the market for a new Mac (the M2 MBA I have is so good and still my favorite Mac ever), but if I were, I’d get the M5 MBA with 32GB RAM and the most SSD I could afford before the prices rocket up. I just checked and it would cost $2100. That seems like a good deal to me.

I know $2100 is a lot of money, but I come from a time long ago where a far less capable computer would be $5,000. While I don’t have the receipt, I bet my PowerBook 180 was around $2,100 back in 1992 (which is where I got the $5,000).
